The Project
We all know that delivering the next generation of schools and academies that can provide inspirational teaching environments and zero-carbon design in a cost-effective manner is a major challenge for both the education and construction sectors.
Recognising the need for a new approach, Tarmac Building Products and Cartwright Pickard Architects came together to find a viable solution that both reduces carbon emissions and drives down construction costs.
With the help of consultants Davis Langdon and WSP, we were able to draw on industry-leading experience from across the design team to address some of the key challenges for schools and academies.
The result of the collaboration was Nurture Future - a pre-engineered design blueprint that combines all of the architectural, structural and environmental elements required to develop 21st century schools. Find out more about the Nurture Future solution
